Choose the service you have a question about
We have grouped our FAQs by service so you can quickly find the information that applies to your property. Some answers depend on access, property type, condition and safety, so final prices and methods are always confirmed before booking.
For anything involving access, height, roof condition, heavy staining or unusual property layouts, photos can help us confirm the safest method and final quote.
Window cleaning FAQs
What is included in a window clean?
Our exterior window cleaning includes the glass, frames, sills and doors where they are safely accessible. If there are unusual windows, restricted access or a heavy first-clean build-up, we may need to review the price before booking.
Do I need to be home for the clean?
No, not normally. As long as we have safe access to the areas being cleaned, you do not need to be home. Please make sure gates are unlocked, pets are secure and windows are fully closed before we arrive.
Can you still clean if it rains?
Yes, we can usually continue cleaning in light rain. Our purified water system is designed to leave exterior glass to dry naturally with a clear, streak-free finish, so light rain does not normally affect the result. If the rain becomes heavy, or the weather makes the work unsafe or likely to affect the quality of the clean, we may pause, delay the clean or move it to the next available day.
How often can you clean my windows?
We usually offer monthly, 6-weekly and bi-monthly window cleaning, depending on your location and route availability. Regular cleaning helps keep the glass, frames and sills better maintained.
Why can a first clean cost more?
A first clean can take longer because the glass, frames and sills may have heavier dirt, algae, cobwebs or old residue built up. Once the property is maintained regularly, ongoing cleans are usually quicker and priced lower.
How do I pay for window cleaning?
Customers can pay securely through the customer portal. Regular customers may also have automatic payment options available, making ongoing cleans easier to manage.
Gutter vacuum FAQs
What does gutter vacuum clearing include?
Gutter vacuum clearing removes loose debris from inside accessible guttering. This can include moss, leaves, silt, weeds and general build-up that may stop water flowing properly.
Do you use a camera system?
Yes. We use a camera system during gutter vacuum work to help inspect the gutter line and check the areas we can safely access have been cleared.
Can the work still go ahead in wet weather?
Light rain does not always stop exterior cleaning work, but safety and quality come first. If there is heavy rain, strong wind, slippery access, unsafe conditions or weather that could affect the standard of the clean, we may pause, delay the work or move it to the next available day.
How much does gutter vacuum clearing cost?
Gutter vacuum clearing starts from £64.99. The final estimate depends on property type, height, access, blockage level, garage gutters, conservatories, extensions and whether gutter guards or hedgehogs are fitted.
Do you clean the outside of the gutters as well?
Not as part of standard gutter vacuum clearing. Gutter vacuuming clears the inside of the gutters. Cleaning the outside of gutters, fascias and soffits is a separate roofline cleaning service.
Do I need to be home for gutter clearing?
Not normally, as long as we have safe access to the areas being cleared. Please make sure gates are unlocked and any access notes, pets or parking details are provided before arrival.
Fascia, soffit and external gutter cleaning FAQs
Is this the same as gutter clearing?
No. Fascia, soffit and external gutter cleaning cleans the outside of the roofline plastics, including gutter fronts where quoted. Gutter vacuuming clears debris from inside the gutters.
What does this service include?
This service can include fascia boards, soffits, gutter fronts, downpipes and exterior roofline plastics where they are safely accessible and included in the quote.
Can you remove all staining?
We aim to remove general dirt, algae marks, cobwebs and surface grime. Some older staining, UV damage, ageing, oxidation or historic marks may not fully restore through cleaning alone.
Do you need photos before quoting?
Photos are recommended where there are extensions, conservatories, dormers, garages, heavy staining, awkward access or higher sections. They help us confirm the likely price before booking.
Can this be booked with gutter vacuuming?
Yes. Roofline cleaning and gutter vacuuming can be quoted together if you want the outside plastics cleaned and the inside gutters cleared at the same time.
Solar panel cleaning FAQs
How much does solar panel cleaning cost?
Solar panel cleaning has a minimum charge from £45. Light washing starts from £5 per panel, medium dirt or some algae from £7.50 per panel, and lichen or heavier build-up from £14.50 per panel. Final price depends on access, panel count and condition.
Do you need photos before quoting?
Photos are recommended because they help us check the number of panels, roof height, roof angle, panel position, access below and the level of soiling before confirming the final price.
Do you use chemicals on solar panels?
Standard solar panel cleaning is normally carried out using purified water and suitable soft-brush equipment. We avoid standard detergents unless a specific approach has been reviewed and agreed.
Will you need a scaffold tower?
Usually not. Most suitable solar panel cleans can be completed using water-fed poles and extension equipment. If a scaffold tower or extra access equipment is needed, we will confirm this before booking.
Do you repair solar panels?
No. We provide cleaning only. We do not carry out electrical work, inverter work, solar panel repairs, roof repairs or system maintenance.
Conservatory cleaning FAQs
How much does conservatory roof cleaning cost?
Small conservatory roofs start from £70, medium roofs from £90 and large roofs from £125. Heavy algae or very dirty roofs may add from £40. Final price depends on size, access and condition.
Do you clean inside conservatories?
Not as standard. Conservatory cleaning is exterior-only unless internal cleaning has been specifically discussed and quoted.
Do you need photos before quoting?
Photos are recommended because they help us check roof size, shape, access, condition, surrounding obstacles and whether the clean can be completed safely.
Can you remove all green algae?
We aim to remove visible algae, dirt and general grime from accessible exterior surfaces. Some staining, ageing, UV damage, failed seals or historic marks may not fully restore through cleaning alone.
Do I need to be home?
Not normally, if the work is exterior-only and we have safe access. Please make sure gates are unlocked, access is clear and any pets are kept secure.
Roof cleaning FAQs
How much does roof cleaning cost?
Full roof cleaning and treatment estimates start from £449 for smaller bungalow roofs, from £699 for terrace or semi-detached roofs, and from £825 for detached roofs. Final price is confirmed after photos, access review and survey checks where required.
Do you walk on the roof?
Our aim is to avoid unnecessary roof access where possible. We use scaffold tower and pole-based scraping systems where suitable, but the final method depends on roof type, access, condition and safety.
Do you use pressure washing on roofs?
Our main focus is manual roof scraping and biocide treatment. Other methods may be used only where appropriate for the roof type, tile condition, access and safety.
What is biocide treatment?
Biocide treatment is applied after moss removal where suitable to treat remaining organic growth. Results can continue developing after the clean depending on weather, roof condition and the level of previous growth.
Do you repair roofs?
No. We provide roof cleaning and treatment only. We do not carry out roof repairs, leak repairs, structural work, repointing or tile replacement.
Cladding cleaning FAQs
What cladding can you clean?
We clean suitable exterior cladding and exterior surfaces where the material, condition and access allow. Photos are recommended before quoting so we can check the surface properly.
Can you remove all staining?
We aim to remove general dirt, algae marks and surface grime. Some oxidation, UV damage, aged staining or historic marks may not fully restore through cleaning alone.
Do you need photos before quoting?
Yes, photos are recommended so we can check surface type, height, access, staining level and surrounding obstacles before confirming the quote.
Do you clean commercial cladding?
Sometimes, depending on size, access, height and safety. Larger commercial cladding work may need a site visit or a more detailed photo review before pricing is confirmed.
Is cladding cleaning the same as pressure washing?
Not always. The correct method depends on the surface, condition and access. We choose a suitable exterior cleaning method after reviewing the property.
